There are three ways to cast your ballot in 2021.

1. You can vote early in-person!

Early voting for 2021 began on Friday, Sept. 17. You can register to vote and vote early at Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services (980 E. Hennepin Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55414).

Get directions with Google Maps or Apple Maps.

Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services is the only in-person location to vote early.

Sept. 17 – Oct. 17

  • 8AM – 4:30PM Monday through Friday

Oct. 18 – Oct. 31

  • 7AM – 6PM Monday through Friday
  • 9AM – 4PM Saturday
  • 12PM – 5PM Sunday

Nov. 1

  • 7AM – 5PM Monday

2. You can vote early by mail!

You must complete a mail ballot application through the City of Minneapolis (found here). We recommend applying for a mail ballot at least 14 days before Election Day. 

Return your completed application to Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services:

After submitting your application, you can track your ballot online.

Ballots must be received through mail by 8PM or dropped off in-person at the Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services office by 3PM on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 2).

3. You can vote in-person on Election Day!

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 2 this year. Polling places will be open from 7AM – 8PM.

Mail-in ballots can not be returned to your Election Day polling place.
